The 4th International Infrastructure and Construction Law Arbitration Moot (IICLAM) is being organised this year in NLU, Delhi.. It is an international level arbitration moot competition attempting to familiarize budding lawyers from around the world with Arbitration as a system of resolution of commercial disputes arising out of the various infrastructure and construction projects around the world.
It is with this vision that the three organizers, Kaden Boriss Partners, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) came together to begin an initiative called 'IICLAM'.
The Moot Problem this year is based on an Arbitration Proceeding with respect to an International Road Contract.
The details of this year's competition are:
Dates of the Competition: 2nd-3rd September, 2011
Last Date of Submission of Memorials: 20th June, 2011
Last Date of Registration with the Organizers: 11th April, 2011
Venue: NLU, Delhi
The Moot Problem, Rules, etc. of the competition can be found here.
Interested students are requested to submit their names to Prashant or Nakul by 6th March 2011.
p.s. Due to huge participation by Indian Teams, the organizers would be shortlisting the teams first based on memorials. Still, we believe that should not be a big issue to RGSOIPLians :)
We would strongly recommend the first year students to participate in this moot, since there are only a few opportunities like this in which one can get international exposure in a moot competition in India !!!!!
Happy Mooting :)
