7th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Research Paper Competition, 2011


Dear RGSOIPLians,

The All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (AIFTP) and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) Bar Association in association with the Government Law College, Mumbai is organising the 7th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Research Paper Competition, 2011.

The topic for this year’s Research Paper is:
‘Piercing the Corporate Veil in Taxation Matters’
(India & International Transactions with special reference to Direct Tax Codes)

Each article can be authored by a maximum of two authors. The three best articles will be awarded cash prizes, along with a certificate of merit and a medal. The winning research paper will be published in the AIFTP Journal, IBFD Journal, on the ITAT website and in other leading tax magazines.

Last Date of submission : 5th September, 2011.

8th K K LUTHRA MEMORIAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION 



This Competition is the only exclusive Criminal Law Moot Court held in India. Since 2005, the Competition has been held annually at the Campus Law Centre premises in the memory of Late Sh. K. K. Luthra, Senior Advocate, a leading criminal lawyer, whose legal career spanned from 1949 till his demise in 1997.

This year’s Moot Problem focuses on:
Murder of a person and Manslaughter of workers due to a Gas Leakage from an Industrial Unit

OXFORD MEDIA LAW (INDIA) MOOT COURT COMPETITION


Oxford University has been organising a Moot court Competition on Media Law every year. Due to huge interest from India,  since 2010, they have started organising the India Rounds.

Please note that the first four teams from this competition will be participating in the International Rounds, i.e., The Monroe E. Price International Media Law Moot Court Competition at the University of Oxford.

ICC COMMERCIAL MEDIATION COMPETITION, Paris

The Competition is the only moot devoted exclusively to international commercial mediation. The Competition consists of two parts; written and oral advocacy. During three days of preliminary rounds, competitors apply ICC’s Amicable Dispute Resolution (ADR) Rules  to solve business problems created by a special Drafting Working Group of international mediation experts. The preliminary rounds are followed by the eight, quarter and semi-final rounds, as well as the final which takes place on the last day of the Competition.


It allows a participation of teams upto 4 people. Students may also present themselves as Mediators and judges along with the team.

12th Raj Anand Moot Court Competition

Dear RGSOIPLians,

The Much awaited competition is back.

This years competition will be organised on 27-28th August, in Delhi.
The compromis relates not just to IP matters but the claims also consist of "claiming breach of confidentiality, misappropriation of confidential information, breach of contract, damages etc.."

The fun element this time is an additional IP Comic Book Competition.
(The last date for submitting scripts for the above competition is 20th August, so you better start working :)
