9th NLS Debate, Bangalore
Dear RGSOIPlians,
The success stories of our teams in the CNLU (patna) Parliamentary Debates is known to all. With practically no preparation, we were still the semifinalists of the event. The glories earned by our very own Biplab is still embedded in everyone's mind who was there to witness the event. The articulation of Arun, the CR was unmatchable. The whole team along with Richa and Arvind had marched unbeatable, till the semis with majestic strides.
But that was past.... Its time to make it happen again... Its time to rock the NLS debate now !!!
The details of the event are:
Date: 6th to 10th of November, 2010.
Venue: NLSIU, Bangalore
Follow the competition at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28290002084&v=wall#!/group.php?gid=28290002084
This time, its bigger and better. With more than 80 teams participating and more countries being involved, it has become one of the largest parliamentary debate competition of South Asia. (It can be seen from the very fact that last years winners were Colombo Law School)
The good news is, the cap of teams participating from an institute has been raised to THREE this year. Please make a note that institute here means IIT here as a whole. Hence, here comes into play our chance to merge with the TLS (Tech Literary Society) and form some good teams along with our fellow IITians and create some history again.
The Debating Club of TLS meets regularly for practicing for various debates around the country. This event being a law school event, I hope we can prove some precious asset to them and our conglomeration can create some great results.
All the interested people are requested to contact Mr. Achyut Bihani (achyutbihani@gmail.com) to know about the practice sessions and other details. (The last practice session was today at 6.30 pm at Vikramshila Foyer ;! )
You can also contact Prashant for any other details.
